Risks associated to the behaviour as customers, employees and leaders, improving or worsening the businesses relationships, the planet and our own health.
Every students parents have stories about circumstances when, confident with the relationship between the family and the chosen school unit direction where the children is studying and its respective staff, left some object to be delivered for his/her son/daughter and expect that the object go to him/her hands as soon as their necessity to have it for scholar/learning activities purposes.
And when you do this simple operation of leave an object to be delivered to your children in a certain occasion she will need that to accomplish an activity in her student mates group - which is dependent of this material to reach the learning goals of determined class, and simply receive a message of your son/daughter indicating he/she is still waiting for it, even if you have done this in anticipation of 2 hours, counted from the foreseen starting time of that specific class?
At this moment you must be asking yourself: why this story is being shared under the perspective of risks?

I’ll try to explain. These relationships among clients/customers and staff organizations at this level of expected commitment, involving educational processes, deserve attention.
The confidence in the processes to the correct care for children who are developing themselves intellectually, emotionally, socially and so on at these places, is essential. It involves details which can affect many traits at the level of individual and the group of students of which they are part.
Commitment in a student mates group is very relevant for the continuity of a confident relationship that can nurture a collective journey of support during the scholar development along the years to come among them.
The simple unavailability of a necessary material to accomplish a scholar project caused by the supposed lack of responsibility of one of the members of this group can be crucial for these future engagements, or not.
After the resolution of the problem of staff accountability for the object delivery internally at the school unit, and the delayed accomplishment of this at first sight trivial task, the leader – School Principal, when questioned about the processes and routines to be reviewed and the results of this drill/audit, if assessed, with the post lessons learned directives to improve them, the laconic answer was: “It was a singular and located mistake. Was internally treated and we will manage to not repeat the episode again in the future.” Without the presentation of any evidence of this investigation.
Will it be occurring as mentioned? Or new episodes like that, involving other aspects of the management of that scholar unit will emerge?
Now, the process of risk assessment can enter the story and try to contribute to the refinement of the management.
And if the scholar unit management process would have incorporated the risk approach to go back and “walk” on those wrong steps, by means, at least, of a root causes assessment process?. The famous “Ishikawa” (fish-bone diagram) model. Many other insights, probably, would help develop a better management of issues, improving the stakeholders relationships, environment/resources economies and so on.
Think deeply about that… 🤲🌎🤲
